Escape Velocity Magazine

After a solid year of work, the first print issue of Escape Velocity has been released. We call it a celebration of hard science fiction and science fact. There are several science articles, 19 short stories, two Photo Features with full-page images, and much more.

Investigation: American Book Publishing

What AB Offers Writers

I thought it was about time to post up exactly what we offer writers, i.e. opportunities for exposure and publication by Adventure Books of Seattle.

We have four basic outlets:

The Free Fiction Page - This is where you send in a short story under 2k words. There are no real genre restrictions. If we like it, we post it up on this page with a short bio and a link to your website for about 6-8 months. We also add a couple of stock images to dress up the story. Roughly...

'Around The Next Bend'

Adventure Books of Seattle's long-awaited title, 'Around The Next Bend' has been released.

Australians Bernie and Yvonne Katchor have lived aboard their sloop, 'Australia 31' for more than a dozen years. This book shows their adventures living among the indigenous natives as they explore the rivers of South America. Illustrated with more than a hundred photographs by the Katchors', it is a unique book indeed.

When I was a kid growing up in the Puyallup ('Pew-Al-Up') Valley back in the Sixties, my friends and I could always count on a few heavy snows to pile up a good foot or better.
