Samurai are great!!!!

If there is one thing that I really like. It's pirates! Love em! I mean, what is NOT to like! So romantic - sailing the seven seas, sword fighting, swinging from ropes, treasure, wenches! ( lets not forget the buxom wenches ), secret islands full of treasures, skulls, more sword fighting, the vast oceans, exotic lands and parrots by the bucket load! YEP, pirates are really really really great.

But you know what? Samurai are really great too! I love em! And right now, as of this moment, I am in a samurai obsession! I was in a pirate obsession!!! Samuari are great arnt they? I mean, what's NOT to like! Moody swords man of great and deadly skill. Ancient and exotic Japan! Sword fighting, drinking sake, chopping off of heads, honour till the very LAST breath, tense sword fighting, blood, running along with shuffling feet and, well, they are just great arnt they?

I'm remembering how much I love them because I got to watch one of my most FAV movies of all time!!!! IT'S GREAT! It's about Samuari, but I am sure you guessed that. OK, Akira Kurosawa's Yojimbo is one of the best things but to film and the Seven Samurai is also up there with it. But for Samurai you just CAN NOT BEAT a movie that stands even head and shoulders above those great movies! .... LONE WOLF! GREAT! OMG it's great! Moody burning eyes of vengence, sword fighting, slashing one cut killing moves, artful direction, sword fighting and more sword fighting and buckets and buckets and buckets of blood - spraying, gushing, spilling, dripping and more, femal assasins, NINJAS attacking, vengence, sake drinking, moody eye shots, more sword fighiting. Well, it's just great!!!!!!!!!

Has anybody seen this movie? I mean, the first one - sword of vengence? There are actually six ( as far as I know ). Anybody seen Lone Wolf and cub? I tell you, that movie ROCKS...

Samurai... great, arn't they?

<---runs off into the waving grass framed by a bloody setting sun and going arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrhhhhhhhhhhhh.

I prefer ninjas to samurai. Samurai are too bloody noble. I'd rather be sneaky, wear black, and get to spork people in the back.

Well, they are not really noble, they just live by a code of conduct which is not really the same as being noble. They can be, well, they were, right bastards

In Yojimbo the Samurai in that is drunk half the time and when he is not drunk he is killing people. The Samurai in Seven Samurai not very good either. A lot of killing in that one

In Wolf Cub, the Samuria is the greatest in all the empire. He is the Shogun's chief executioner. In other words, he goes around killing people for him He gets a bit upset when his wife is killed by some ninjas and they frame him so that the Shogun thinks he is against him so ordering him to commit Seppuku. He laughs in their faces, picks up his Katana sword, and hacks them to death amid flying limbs and fountains of blood! He then embarks on a path of VERY BLOODY vengence, also becomming a killer for money. Not very noble at all Well... unless you count vengence as noble, which, it is in a way...

A code of conduct is not my sort of thing at all, whether you abide by it or not. The only rule in my life is that she who lives by the spork stands beside a large pile of punctured corpses. Arrrrr.

To be honest, all I have is some Dooleys, but even pirates need a girly drink sometimes. And Samurai love toffee.

Musashi - yeah, I think I know of him but read about him a long time ago. Didn't they call him the sword saint?

I met a pirate in the pub on Sunday, and he said I was beautiful. He's my new best friend.

I have seen the Kurasawa movies, and several anime. The best anime is one with a girl samurai who drinks like a fish. Great stuff. Kenshin is cool, also. Have you read Shogun? I haven't, but it's supposed to be all samurai-y.

I'm with Litany, tho, being a Ninja sounds like much more fun.

Oh, there's a great Christopher Lambert movie (I know, doesn't happen often) called the Hunted. There are samurai and ninjas, only modern ones.

Haven't we traveled down this yellow brick road before?

Pirates and Samurais and Ninjas, oh my!

The whole lot of you aren't worthy enough to clean my soiled loincloth.
