Waterstones merging with Ottakars in the UK?

I read column in the Sunday papers a few months back, but not sure if this is going to happen. Hope it doesn't make Ottakar's hardbacks more pricey with new management. I shop for my kid's books there, be buggered if it did.

Anyone here know the latest?

It's a done deal as of a few weeks back. Ottakars will rebrand and some stores will close.

I much prefer Waterstones anyway; it's brand looks much more classy than that minging green/orange abomination.
