| It wasn't sci fi. More of an alternative history written by someone with limited imagination. I was waiting for the plot to start and finally gave up when I realised there wasn't one. Still, it's got a pretty cover. |

| IMO, alternative history becomes sci-fi when sci-fi elements are introduced. For example, The Difference Engine would be sci-fi even though it's an alternative history. I'll admit there's a lot of gray area though.
