John O'Farrell

I have read a couple of books by John O'Farrell and both were excellent - light hearted, amusing and easy to read. 'This is your life' is one I would definately recommend if you fancy something lighthearted and laugh-out-loud funny. It is about a 'normal' bloke who manages to somehow get himself known as a famous stand up comedian (without every having done any live shows) and ends up in front of a live studio audience of thousands with no act - the book covers the story of how he gets there.

Read it!!
