I just grabbed them off my bf's computer day before yesterday. As soon as I get back into town (because I'm out of town :P ) I'm gonna start watchin' 'em. Exciting!

Awesome! I definitely liked the 2nd one better than the first & third. The third was great and not at all a waste of time. I really want to pick up the new one that's out next month.

re: cutting out the supernatural stuff
I feel like the supernatural stuff was somewhat resolved in this third book. But clearly there is a higher/supernatural power that exists in Dexter's world, so I wouldn't be surprised if it came up again.
Did you read the second and the third book? I know that in the thread you said you had just read the first one...

I finally finished Dexter in the Dark.
I liked it a lot actually. The supernatural stuff was different but interesting. I liked the idea of exploring the origin of his "Dark Passenger." 2.5/5 ?

:P Hehe, no worries. I'm not terribly serious about the series, I'm only reading them for the hell of it. I really do prefer the show.

re: Dexter in the Dark
I haven't read that yet. I was actually planning on picking it up tomorrow, I just finished the 2nd in the series this afternoon, Dearly Devoted Dexter. There wasn't anything supernatural in the first two, so I'm curious. I wasn't aware of that aspect popping up in the series.

It's definitely a pretty good first episode. When the show first came out, sho.com put up the first two and I watched 'em there. I didn't think I'd watch anymore until I was channel surfing at home and stumbled upon another episode. It gets better!
