I hated DH Lawrence's Women In Love with a passion. I had to read it though; I was on a 5 hour train journey and had no other way to pass the time. By the time I got home I was too far into the book to justify giving it up, but I moaned to anyone who would listen how I hated it.

I actually really liked it - although I agree that the ending was a slight copout due to nothing being resolved as to the transplant, it ended in such a way that left me crying, and the last book to make me do that was Anne of Green Gables about 10 years ago. I read it quickly, but that to me...

There was a book recommended in a magazine a few months ago that told the story of all people in a particular Tube train at the same time. I'm pretty sure the book's title was made up of three numbers but I'm not 100%...
