    Internet TV

We just cancelled our DirecTV. We already had a couple TiVo Premiere boxes. They will do Hulu Plus, Netflix, and Pandora (not sure what else). So, far, I'm paying $10 for Netflix and will be adding Hulu Plus. But, that $80 DirecTV bill is gone!! The kids can still watch their shows and I can...

    Kindle

Just got a Kindle. While it won't replace my books or me actually buying paper books, I think I'll like it to read some books on, especially indie authors. E-readers, the future, or a fad?

True. I usually do come out of a bookstore with an armful of books :D

    Sweet Valley High

I don't know if they still read them. I read them when I was a teen and I still have them all. I was hoping my girls would get into them, but no luck... yet.

What exactly is the Kindle and other e-book readers? How does it work?

Also, many smart phones have free apps. There's a Kindle app and a Nook app for my iPhone. Of course, this is nothing like actually having a Kindle or Nook. There are many free or cheap eBooks and lots of indie authors.
