Looking for a fantasy book or series

I've read all of the books that are currently in The song of ice and fire series, and it seems it's gonna be a long wait till the next one. So I'm looking for a new book, or series, that are similar to it. I also loved The Kingkiller Chronicle (Name of the wind, Wise man's fear by Patricks Rothfuss), Broken Sky (by Chris Wooding), Northern lights (by Philip Pullman) and some of the Warcraft books if anyone has read them.
To specifiy my search a bit:
-I prefer kind of medival themed fantasy with quite some magic (really loved how it was handled in the Broken Sky).
-Good story.
-Doesn't have to be as complicated as The song of ice and fire, meaning I'm ok with the book if it's a bit predictable and there isn't as much politics in it. If it is that's just a plus though.
-Well constructed lore.

Hi, Gregor! Have you read anything by Tamora Pierce? It's geared to a bit of a younger audience, but I really enjoyed them. I'd start with Alanna and see how you like them. Definitely medieval fantasy with a lot of magic.

I also really love the Kingkiller Chronicle and I've kind of started with the Song of Ice and Fire.

I'm not familiar with the others, but some of my favorite fantasy books that are set in a medieval world (or at least not in a contemporary one) are the following:

- The Tamir Triad by Lynn Flewelling (starting with "Bone Doll's Twin")
- The Abhorsen Trilogy by Garth Nix (starting with "Sabriel")
- The Tiger and Del series by Jennifer Roberson (starting with "Sword Dancer")
- I also second the stories by Tamora Pierce

They're not set in a medieval world, but if you really like magic, you might like the "Dresden Files", my favorite fantasy series since Pat Rothfuss recommended them on his blog. The first book is called "Storm Front", and in my opinion, it's the "worst" of the series. It's still very good, though, and it will only get better.

Brandon Sanderson is a master of well constructed magic systems. I'm about to start reading the second book to his Stormlight Archive series and am in the process of procuring his Mistborn series. So I would definitely recommend him.

Honestly, I love anything by Mercedes Lackey specifically the Valdemar Series. Lots of magic, different world not quite medieval but similar realms.

I had a lot of fun recently with an ebook for my kindle. It's called "Faith's Blind Reach" and i found it after around an hour of slogging through the fantasy section online. I really enjoyed the mystery around some of the characters, and thought the way the world revolved and evolved through the story was interesting. Might be worth checking out.

If you want Medievil with magic then the way to go is David Eddings Sparhawk books, there are two series with him as the main character.

If you liked asoiaf you will like 'the first law trilogy' by Joe Abercrombie.
