Newbie here, I'm in my fifties and love to read, fav authors are Stephen King, George RR Martin, Dan Simmons, Robert McCammon, to name a few.

I have an older Kindle and download lots of books, I just finished Speaks the Nightbird by McCammon and will start Summer of Night by Simmons today.

I love to travel, been to many far away places, Europe, Caribbean, Africa, Alaska, Tahiti, and all over the USA, I also love concerts, hence the name Front Row. I've been to over 500 concerts and seen many acts from the front row, probably about 30-40, including, Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton, Pink Floyd, Robin Trower and many others.

Always looking for good books to read so I'm hoping I can get some ideas from you folks.

An older kindle...something used to actually read. I'm sad about the day that mine died. I still keep it for sentimental reasons, though my significant other doens't know why in the world I would do that. In the old days, people kept the oven heated irons around as door stops and such. Not sure what I'll repurpose the kindle for, but I'm sure I'll think of something.

Wow that's so cool you've been to so many concerts. Do you travel to go to these concerts or are your travels for a separate purpose? I haven't been travelling much but I'd love to do it one day with my friends

I don't often travel for concerts, they're expensive enough already. I have flown from LA to NY to see Jeff Beck and Eric Clapton play together. But that was a one off.
