Where to find reliable valuations on rare books?

I am looking for a reliable source to get books valued by, so far I have had no luck in finding someone, or a company, whom I feel is suitable and truthful.

If anyone knows of anyone, or can give me a value, that'd be awesome! ^^

I have recently enquired a 2 volume set of books :

The Works of Shakespeare

Imperial edition

Edited by Charles Knight

Illustrated in in steel

Both are leather bound over boards, with the inner pages in near perfect condition.

There is slight damage to both books :

Vol 1 - Slight scuffing and tearing to bottom and top of spine

Vol 2 - Damage to spine, tearing and scuffing. Slight scuffing on front cover.

This damage should be repairable by a specialist though.

Each book is 15"x11.5", and weighs around 6kg.

The pages were once gold on the outside, but that has begun to fade.
