Hey guys, I want a recommendation for a book to read today! I've finally decided it's time to get back into reading. I have a million books on my kindle that I think are interesting right now, but I'm craving something different but I'm not sure what that is.

Things I DON'T like in books:
- Gore, murder mystery/violence etc. I'm a scaredy cat. Cannot handle it.
- Typically not into fantasy but I'm open-minded.

Things I LIKE in books:
- Escapism
- Personal struggles
- Romance (not so much the genre but I do love a good love story)
- Foreign cultures - I'm particularly craving Europe/USA/wintery things at the moment
- It doesn't have to be fast-paced.
- I would prefer a novel over non-fiction but am flexible.
- I'd particularly love a book regarding failure, starting your life over, finding out who you are, loneliness etc. I'm craving either relatability, inspiration, or complete escapism. Sad or happy books are fine.
- If it counts for anything, I'm late twenties, childless, and a strong reader/intellectual so no need for 'easy' books.

All the books I've read most recently are either Jane Austen/Bronte sister classics or non-fiction political memoires. I need a change!

I'm not trying to be too prescriptive, I just feel it's easier for people to respond if I can paint a picture of what I like. I'm always willing to be surprised. Fingers crossed for a response!
