Novels about a person/people who have powers?

I like action / thriller novels and I just watched a video of the PS4 game, Infamous: Second Son, which put me in the mood for a novel about people with special powers. For example, I was a big fan of the Dominion Trilogy by Robin Parrish. Essentially, there were these rings that would fuse to the wearer, giving them each a unique special power.

If you would, please give me a few suggestions for books like that. Thanks!
