Hello everyone,

My name is Xavier. I'm a reader...

(Hello Xavier)

I don't only read, I also write. I love one as much as the other, especially the latter.
I read mostly things that help me grow and be better at what I do. But I also enjoy fiction, as long as the plot seems credible, the action moves fast, it shows rather than tells and the vocabulary isn't gratuitously vulgar.

I write different kind of things. In number of publications, hands down I wrote mostly business articles and PR releases. In terms of volume of pages written, I would have to say it is novels. I also wrote some type of biography and a memoire. But my crowning achievement and most time, attention and research spent has to be attributed to inspirational book to achieving success and happiness: 'Our X Factor', which subtitle is none other than "The Power to Achieve--Every Day--Success and Happiness."

Let me be frank, I'm here today chiefly to create awareness about my new book that was released about a month ago and of which the Press Release officially hits the news stands sometime later today, Friday, August 29th. To celebrate this momentous occasion, I am offering through BookDaily.com a special promotion (limited to 50 signed copies), valid only through the end of the labor day weekend. Please, check on BookDaily for excerpts, my profile, book description and the promo offer, as well as where you can take advantage of this one time offer.

To redeem myself for my shameless act of self-promotion, however, I make myself available to all of you to discuss literature and to help new authors, or people wanting to write their book, with support and information pertaining to your goals (ideas, feedback, discuss process, suggestions for publication, etc.). I enjoy books, ideas, stories, language, expression, the art--the whole medium--and I love to help people love, write or read books and anything literature. I make no excuses, that is how I create time to do many things and be available to others. The only thing I would ask in exchange, is that you don't make excuses either. Respect my time and I will take your plans and your writing seriously. If not, I suggest you adjust your expectations because in this industry you won't find many people generous with their time.

It is a true pleasure to join this forum. I look forward to making many new friends.

Cheers, much success and happiness to all and I hope to see you at a book fair, a forum or wherever else interesting people with interesting ideas gather.

Xavier

Dear regdog
You visited my post... and left me this message... "Holy kumquats, I updated my blog on 8/22/2014"... and I don't know who you are... and I don't know what concern it is of mine that you updated your blog. But I doubt that you read my post. I doubt it because I read your post. You didn't strike me like the person who would read someone's post to only indicate that you updated your post.

I read your blog... at least a few entries. I would urge you to search for my book and read it. Once you will have read it, you will know exactly why I recommended you read it and you will very likely thank me for bringing it to your attention--although I reserve the right to a small margin of error in stating this opinion.

Have a wonderful Labor Day Weekend.

I don't see your greeting? or your message. I don't understand the purpose...

The greeting was the welcome smilie you have quoted and I was welcoming you to Book And Reader since you introduced yourself in
the Member's Introduction.

Apparently you are not interested in being welcomed or becoming part of the community but instead prefer to be rude and
discourteous, and I won't be speaking with you again.

Hello Xavier, welcome to Book & Reader.

If you want to promote your own work here you can do so in the Shameless Self Promotion Area only, it's what it's there for. :)

I don't quite get the misunderstanding you seem to have with regdog here, but do try to treat other forum members with respect.
