is it a first edition

i picked up an old copy of slaughterhouse-five at a library sale and i think it may be a first edition but a book club one at that does anyone know how to find out any info about first editions if there are any websites.

A good way to tell if it is a first edition is if there is only one copyright date in the book. If there is only one date, it is typically a first edition, unless it is a collection of several works. Now what printing it is can be trickier.... try to cross reference it on Abe Books http://www.abebooks.com/servlet/SearchResults?an=kurt+vonnegut&sortby=1&tn=slaughterhouse+five

thanks for the help i am trying to find out what printing it is now i think it is one for a book club this copy has the right copyright date but where the price sholud be there is none but at the bottom it says book club edition

They did do a first edition for Slaughterhouse 5 in 1969:
