We don't have a Jane Eyre thread? Really?

Anyway, a piece of news: Following the success of 50 Shades Of Grey etc, Pan MacMillan will now be releasing an "erotic retelling" (or in plain English, porny fanfic) of Jane Eyre, called Jane Eyre Laid Bare.

I want the next retelling of a classic to involve graphic sex, zombies, the mashup with another classic, and possibly a white whale.

Finished Jane Eyre last night to me ! And I looooove really really this book ! I have reading it in French but I hope I could read it in english one day !

Her books are all good. I can vaguely read French and Spanish. I am not able to speak it though. As French written words look similar and have similar patterns to them and that's how I am able to vaguely read French.

You also can use conversion sites that are online. You just google and search for french to english conversions.

Jane Eyre is one of my favourite books. I must have read it twenty times or so since being a teenager. Have any of you read Jean Rhys' Wide Sargasso Sea? The story is told from Bertha's point of view. It is amazing

Not so sure I could handle a zombie Jane Eyre though

I read Wide Sargasso Sea a couple of years ago for uni. I had to read Ann Radcliffe's A Sicilian Romance, Jane Austen's Northanger Abbey, and Jane Eyre as a sort of series to show the connections between all novels. I never really enjoyed Jane Eyre though, maybe I should give it another try.
