Amish fiction

I recently read Katie's Journey to Love by Jerry S Eicher. It was the 2nd book I read by the author. I really like the plots and the novels have helped me gain a greater insight into the Amish culture. Has anyone on the forum ever read his books?

I have not read his books; however, I find Amish culture very interesting. My husband and I once stayed at Amish Acres in Indiana. It's a historic Amish farm and resort type destination, but it really gives you a feel for Amish culture and takes you around a working farm. I love going places with historical and cultural value, so this was a perfect spot. There is also a barn theater there, and the musical play they performed while we stayed there was 'Plain & Fancy' about Amish life, and most notably about marriage. It reminded me a lot of 'Fiddler on the Roof' which I also love. If you're interested in Amish culture, you should look into seeing this play when you have the chance.
