This book made me laugh on almost every page -- not something I anticipated from a tale of how an elderly couple became foster carers in their mid-sixties. It is witty, sardonic, acerbic, sad and hilarious. Stylish writing with an elegant turn of phrase. The Learmonts are intrepid oldies!
