Hello everyone!

I'm currently in a bit of a bind, and I'm hoping you guys might be able to help me out. You see, my problem is that I don't have any good books to read. This is mainly because I feel like I've read all the good ones. I've read about 100 books so far this year and they've all been pretty stellar.

I recently made some changes to my life, getting healthier and putting myself out there and have been on a romance kick since, so I'm looking for Fantasy books with romance in them. When I say romance I mean romance and not just a bunch of people sleeping around. I prefer a male protagonist, I say a male lead because I've read ones with female leads and whenever romance is involved it's usually a love triangle and she can't make up her mind on which man to choose and that does nothing for me, I'm not too big on the male hero sleeping with tons of women either, monogamy and true love people. First person if you can and I don't want to have to follow a dozen different characters. More sword and sorcery than urban and contemporary, I liked the Dresden Files but it's just weird for me to read about magic when the wizard drives a busted beetle. No vampires and no werewolves please, Butcher does it okay but pretty much every other author that uses them have used them like a crutch. I don't mind high death counts or gore but I don't want to read about sexual torture or rape, its not edgy and it's a stupid storytelling device, you don't need it to tell a good story. I'd prefer series or if it's a single book than be at least 300 pages long, I'm not paying novel price for a book I consider to be the length of a short story. Try to stay away from YA if you can unless it doesn't read like YA and please don't say Twilight, Divergent or Hunger Games, I've suffered through the movies thanks to me always being the good uncle, being the good uncle sucks sometimes.

So here's some series that I really like

Lois McMaster Bujolds The Sharing Knife and Curse of Chalion

Patrick Rothfuss' Kingkiller Chronicles

Jim Butcher's Dresden Files

Robin Hobbs Farseer, Tawny Man, Fitz and the Fool, Soldier Son trilogy

Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time

Elizabeth Moon's The Deed of Paksenarrion and to a lesser extent the Paladins Legacy books

Jennifer Roberson's Tiger & Del series

Brandon Sanderson's Mistborn and Stormlight Archive

Michael J. Sullivan's Riyria Revelations and Chronicles

Brent Weeks Night Angel and Lightbringer

Anthony Ryan's Raven's Shadow

Gail Z. Martin's Summoner series and new Ascendant kingdoms series ain't bad but not really top shelf, same with Karen Miller's Kingmaker, Kingbreaker.

Oh and if anyone is going to say Peter V. Brett don't because he is dead to me, Warded Man wasn't bad, Desert Spear was okay but I suffered through Daylight War and he can rot in hell for all I care.

So there you have it, thanks for reading this and I hope to have lots of suggestions. It's time to put those thinking caps on!

One more thing, I will take suggestions for science fiction as well.
