Any Ideas For A Good Book For A 12 Year Old??

I know this thread is old, but in case there are other people looking for good books for 12 year olds, 'The Phantom Tollbooth' by Norton Juster is a fun read. I read it as a kid and then again as an adult. It was great to see the progression of meaning that was gained from one reading to the next. There are tons of puns throughout the story, and it is not only entertaining, but definitely educational, with tons of themes and morals to make anyone think more critically.
I'm sorry, Beth but it looks as if this thread is dead - even though I agree with you that there are people looking for books for 12 year-olds.
My grandchildren prefer The Backshaw Class series on their Kindles to wasting time playing computer games.

I do know this thread is old, but i have to say "Wonder" by R.J. Palacio is a must read for any kids aged 10 - 12, and even adults too. Shoot anyone 10 and up should read it :)

Sing Down The Moon by Scott O'Dell was a good book I read in the 7th grade. I recall the girls really liking it. It is a great tale of the hardships Native Americans endured.
Then again there's always Huck Finn.
