    Rudyard Kipling Present

I want to buy a present for a 6 1/2 year old boy. I thought of a book by Mr. Kipling. I wanted to be Mowgli. I think one of his childrens works would be great and appropriate. Can 6 1/2 year olds read at this level? It has to be delegated to parental readings? I've forgotten these details!

    Ian Rankin - Doors Open

I liked his 'Rebus' novels. My library has the newest books displayed at the front. These books are 1 week only, instead of our usual three weeks. And there is Doors Open. And what a disappointment. Felt the whole thing was shallow. 6.0
