i agree that extras are usually pointless, but i always enjoy when there's something added to the disc that gaves me a bit more insight into the film. i really enjoyed the documentary that was packaged in with City of God a lot.
in your version of the dvd what else is on it? i almost went ahead and ordered another version, but when i saw it was going to be released in the states again i decided to wait.
City of God
I've been hearing out this movie for a long time, and since it got released this week on dvd i finally got the chance to purchase it. The film is set in Rio de Janeiro and centers around the street gangs in 'The City of God'. It begins early on in the lives of the characters...
nothing wrong with that... the other day i bought Chronicles of Riddick, Metal Slug 3 (gotta love the old arcade games), Full Spectrum Warrior, & Rallisport Challenge 2... love em... just love em.
:( nooooo, say it ain't so...
and to Becca,
i've read a lot of these reviews from hardcore Potter fans that were trashing the movie too. all i can say is if they didn't like this film i don't see how they could have enjoyed the first two. this one is clearly a superior product. definitely...
the change in directors made a world of difference. i'm a fan of the first two films, but this installment is by far the best of the bunch. from start to finish i enjoyed it, and highly reccomend it. if i were to rank the films now i'd go...
1. Harry Potter & The Prisoner of Azkaban
2. Harry...
sweet jesus, what has this thread become? lol....
and on donnie darko, i thought it was a bit overrated. solid flick nevertheless, might screw with your head a bit.
well the past couple of weeks i've been doing a lot of drinking out of town with my boys...
now i'm at home for the weekend and plan on doing a lot of drinking here... some things just don't change.
i just came from seeing this at 12:00 and damn was the theatre packed. i guess the holiday weekend had to do something with it. anyways, it was pretty much what i expected.... just an average flick. the cgi was amazing though, and worth paying five bucks to check out.
6/10
lol, seriously. litany you always seem like a very serious person 24/7. i think that's why people initially thought you were a guy before you changed your avy. i'm sure you're not always serious, but yeah, what do you find funny?
lol. i think this booger depositor is a nomad. after he gets tired of a library he slings snot over a ton of books and then moves on to the next one. don't worry, i'm sure he'll be hitting you guys soon.
one thing i remember about borrowing library books as a child is how disgusting many of the books were. finding a dry booger in the middle of a Three Investigators novel was a common thing.
ugh...
