Maybe of some interest to comics readers here:
Tom Hart and David Weman are very proud to announce the first meeting of the Talk About Comics Book Club, taking place Wednesday, April 2nd, 2003. The book chosen for discussion is Chris Ware’s ”Jimmy Corrigan, The Smartest Kid on Earth.”
The group will meet on the "Comics Medium" forum of the Talk About Comics message board.

The moderators of the book club are Tom Hart (author of The Collected Hutch Owens, New Hat Stories) and David Weman (a comics message board nerd of note.)
”Jimmy Corrigan, The Smartest Kid on Earth.” has been called the greatest graphic novel of all time. From the review in Entertainment Weekly:
"In Ware's 380-page graphic novella, studded with small, precise panels that regularly expand to reveal stunning draftmanship, Jimmy's inability to interact with the world makes for a humorous tragedy worthy of comparison to Ivan Goncharov's novel Oblomov, (about a man who cannot find a reason to get out of bed) . . . Jimmy Corrigan is thrilling, moving, profoundly sympathetic--and it is the most beautiful-looking book of the year."
The book should be easy to find. You can for example order it here (scroll down):

We heartily encourage you to join the discussion!
