Hi! My name is Grace, I am 19, I live in New York, and I want to get back into reading!

See when I was a kid I used to read all the time, and I mean allll the time. It didn't matter if I was on a bus, in the bath, walking the dog, eating dinner, or just had a few minutes to spare, I always had a book in my hand. In fact, my mom actually had to take away my books as punishment until I did whatever chore it was I had to do. I was naturally a quiet person growing up, and I was an only child, so I had to entertain myself, and books were my best friends growing up.

Well as I grew up I became friends with a girl on my bus who was my complete opposite, and slowly I became more social instead of closed up reading all the time. Throughout middle school, I saw my relationship with books decline, although we were still close enough that I hit someone when they tore a cover of a brand new book I had just gotten. Anyway, once high school started, social networking became popular and I made my transition into the internet, and never really read unless it was required by some class. Now I'm in college I waste my time on the internet or playing video games.

Slowly the realization is coming to me that I miss my books, my old friends, and I want to start reading again. I try and read but I get distracted half way through the novel or series and just never pick it up again. I just don't have the motivation for reading of my old books, so I want to start with something new. Does anyone have any suggestions for a great book? I read every genre except the fluffy romance/sex novels and fan fiction.
