So he was 15 when he STARTED Eragon, but he was 18 when he got it published. so when Eldest came out, how old is he now. I'm only complaining because it is half done, the guy has many great ideas that were put down and published half baked. I think if he had been a little more patient those...

J.R.R. Tolkien: The Lord Of The Rings

Also, if you read the Return of the Shadow, and the other books that cover the creative proccess of the 3 books, you'll find that the final story started very much farther from where it ended than you would think. The fact that it came so far from where it started and didn't end up a mess is...

Your first post comes close to exactly how i felt, immature is only almost half explaining it, as well as your second job idea. we can always hope the third and last will be better.

    Question

now thats a cool idea, the delete function that is. i know you can't copyright an idea, but if it hasn't been done before, or recently enough for the masses to be copying it, i wouldn't want to put it out there for all to be reminded of it. not that my ideas are that original, it was just a...

    The Wolf

The gash in its neck left a satisfyingly clear trail of where it had gone; the hunter had only to follow the blood through the woods, a path all the more clearer to (a/the) wolf, than road to man. "satisfyingly clear trail of where it had gone." why this is odd to me, i don't know, but it...

    Question

I have recently asked some folks if they would be willing to read the first few chapters of my book. i have been working on the plot for close to 5 years now and think that i am able to start on the beginning now. I saw this forum and think its a good idea, but is there anything stopping...
