There are very few books that I choose to re-read, only books that have a personally connection of some sort. For those books that don't, I find reading them once is enough, as they are so many potential books that can become a possible favourite.

Another point, find books that are about your neices & nephews interests and hobbies. That way, they are introduced to books that have exciting content material that is relevant to them. Hopefully they develop a personal relationship to reading. Hope this helps.
