I love the Tales of the City collection, it's true they're the perfect stories for reading while sitting in the sun or curled up in an armchair for the day. Reading one of the Tales of the City books gives me a good feeling, like having spent the day chatting and catching up with a good friend :)
my favourite actor the last while is James MacAvoy, liked him in the last few movies I've seen( which my other half has noticed I'm purchasing purposely cos James is in them) and oh that smile and those blue eyes
other fav actors would be Liam Neeson, Benicio del Toro, Jack Nicholson and...
POTE was the first book I'd read by Ken Follett and I really enjoyed it. It's a first for me to read historical fiction and I was surprised at how into the book I got.
I've now purchased World Without End and hope I'll like it as I see from the views here that the people who have read it...

Northern Exposure was one I loved as well, was a good series.
I'm wondering has "Scrubs" been cancelled...I saw on play.com that they have up as far as Season 3 and then nothing else, just wondering now cos that's a great series :)
Today popped into Chapters in Dublin and bought two books, The Snapper by Roddy Doyle and The Big Picture by Douglas Kennedy. Never heard of Douglas Kennedy before, liked the look of the book so said I'd give it a try.
If I can remember back far enough I know that the first book was a Famous Five one, which one it was I wouldn't know but I loved the whole series. Didn't they always have great meals in those stories, always managing to stumble upon a farmhouse with a table laden with food..:p
My first novel...
I usually read before going to bed and always for a train, plane or bus journey have a book with me. it's like abecedarian says, it also feels like I forgot my toothbrush or something if I don't bring a book with me when I'm going somewhere :)
