I read the book and tried to watch the movie (James Dean), and I just couldn't get five minutes into it. I did hear that Ron Howard is going to make another movie (http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0419717/).
I'm not sure if this is a good thing or bad thing.
The best Christmas gift I've ever gotten was a mint condition 1st edition copy of this book from my wife. It's one of my most treasured items. I will hand this one down to the readers in my family!
This is the only book I've ever read where the movie goes more in depth than the book does.
Good book.
GREAT MOVIE!!
I love Chuck, but his best work is Lullaby and Survivor!
I fucking hated this book. Time travel in a Palahniuk book? C'mon! Chuck needs to redeem himself with his next novel because Haunted and Rant were HORRIBLE!! I heard that this was to be a series. If that's the case, I will not read another one in this series. Sucked ass, I tell you...

Survivor - Chuck Palahniuk
Lullaby - Chuck Palahniuk
Odd Thomas - Dean Koontz
Suggestions anyone?
Aisu....there actually is a "phile" for people who like to read: Bibliophile (FYI)
A good sci-fi/fantasy book is 'The Traveler' by John Twelve Hawks. It's a trilogy, but only book one and two are released right now. The other one is 'The Dark River.' Good, realistic reads.
Hey Thargh,
If you want a book about a cult, you may want to pick up 'Survivor' by Chuck Palahniuk (he's the guy who wrote Fight Club). That's got a good storyline about a death cult similar to Heaven's Gate. Very good read....and with a hidden ending, I might add!
If you're looking for a...
