One of my conservative friends gave me a copy of this for my birthday, I think trying to get under my skin. I read it, and I think it actually might be a satire of right-wing political books. But I'm not sure. The arguments he makes are kind of out there but he seems to take them seriously...

I love American Psycho. It is about boredom. Patrick Bateman has everything anybody could want. He's good-looking, rich, smart, educated, lives in a trendy bachelor pad, has a high-paying, easy job, women love him. But everything has come too easy for him so now he has to kill, or fantasize...

If you're into this sort of thing...not sure how seriously to take some of these theories but definitely entertaining.
