I'd feel absolutely torn if I didn't finish I book I've started. Even if it were a horrific piece of garbage someone published as a sick joke, I'd always think I missed out on the good part. I've been fooled many a time....'classics' especially seem to catch my eye, and then I want to gag myself...
I've just finished The Red Tent by Anita Diamante, and was completely floored by the quality of her writing. Granted, I had just come out of a serious book drought...but still, some fantastic word play. In the top ten of my 'Best Imagery' list. :D

It's happens to me most every day. I feel wretched that I hold literature in higher regard than humans, sometimes. But I mean, really, can people even compete? Books are too consistant, too freeing. Personally, I'd take a book over picking up my sister from school any day.
