Books you'd never let your kids read....

I just have a funny memory to share. In 4th (5th?) grade I used to always read the Sweet Valley Twins books and my mom absolutly forbid me to read Sweet Valley High or Sweet Valley University. One time I read one anyway and there was a sceen where a boy touches Elizabeth's breasts. I couldn't...

When your reading time is interrupted-what do you do?

I hate when I have to go to work and I'm in the middle of a really good book. I deliver pizzas so I have alot of driving time and I tend to just ponder the book while I'm driving. Probably not very safe since sometimes I just get wrapped up in my own little world while I'm driving.

    Rosalind Miles: I, Elizabeth

I have been thinking about reading it. Did you read it? What did you think?

    Elizabeth Kostova: The Historian

I thought it was really interesting to learn a little about Vlad the Impaler. I knew that Bram Stoker had based his dracula on a real person but I didn't know anything about him until I read this book. I love books that teach you tidbits in the story.

What fiction book do you keep reading over and over?

I don't think I've ever re-read a book! What's the point if you already know how it's going to turn out? There are so many new stories I want to read.

    Online Book Buying

I don't think I will ever stop going to bookstores. I love the atmosphere and if I find a book I like I don't want to wait even a couple of days! Borders has a new Borders Rewards program which is nice and they send you coupons in your email about once a week.

The Most overrated fiction book ever?

I loved the Da Vinci Code!!! It was so entertaining I couln't put it down. I love books that try to solve mysteries from the past and I thought it was awsome that he challenged all those christains with the whole jesus having a child thing. Also The Time Traveller's Wife, while probably not...

    Recently Purchased/Borrowed

I noticed several people bought The Lovely Bones. What did you all think of it? I loved how it was narrated from heaven. It was nice to read something with a different style.
