So glad you asked. In Denver we are having a blizzard. Not just a snow storm, a blizzard with lots of snow and wind. The airport is closed. The interstate highway is closed. I heard on the news that British Air is somehow going to land this afternoon (!)
My dog Cosmo climbs onto my lap as I am reading the morning newspaper. He rolls onto his back and gazes up at me, making it impossible for me to continue reading....Cosmo weighs 65 pounds! But of course, I enjoy our morning ritual.

"84" is a favorite of mine and a quick and rewarding read. Also the film of 84 Charing Cross Road with Anthony Hopkins and Anne Bancroft is excellent. It was made in the 80s. Thank you so much for offering to check up on the site.
Can anyone tell me what is happening to the building at 84 Charing Cross Road? When I was in London in '04, I tried to make a pilgrimage and was sent to the wrong building. (I was on the wrong side of Shaftesbury). So this past summer when visiting London again, I found the right building...

I don't see books becoming obsolete. They are objets d'art in themselves. And I don't see myself taking an electronic device into the tub for a nice bubble bath "soak and read."
