What do you use as a bookmark?

I'm a bookmark collector. I usually use the ones which come with the book, unless I cannot write on them (those damn things made of plastic  ). I like to write notes while I'm reading, if not on the book itself, then on the bookmark.

    Saul Bellow

A quick review. I read 3 books by him, namely Herzog, Humboldt's Gift and Ravelstein. All his books have redemption as theme: in the first, redemption by introspection; the 2nd, by your friends, whether they're alive or not; the 3rd, by love. His style's very pedantic and consist mostly in...

    I just finished reading...

Borges I just finished reading Jorge Luis Borges's Fictions and The Book of Sand. The latter's not as good as the former, since the tales aren't intertwined, but they're both outstanding. I read some tales more than once and they changed meanings every time. They've got several different...

Do you buy, borrow or take out from the library?

I don't mind reading borrowed books, but I'd rather buy them. It doesn't matter if they're old or new, as long as I can read them. It's not unusual for me to borrow books from the library or from my friends and then go to the bookstore and buy them... even if that means borrowing money from the...
