    Worst or most disappointing book?

Totally agree. No matter which stage of my life I have tried to read it, I have not been able to get into it at all. I don't know, maybe I'm not 'cool' enough.

Susanna Clarke: Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell

Thanks Wabbit (I do hope you take no offence at my abbreviation), I'll definitely add that to my seek and read list.

Susanna Clarke: Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell

After a couple of years of sporadic reading, I bought this on a whim having never heard of it (middle of last year sometime), went to a park and sat under a tree and started. By the end of the book, I was completely enthused about reading again, and since that been varocious in my appetite...

    Currently Reading

I have read it and it was ok. An airport lounge book if ever there was, and not the type I can read all the time. But I do like your attitude. It is far better to find the good in something than just focus on the bad (if a little difficult at times).

Music while you are reading or writing. Life's Theme Song?

When writing I like to have music playing quietly in the background, and never rock or anything too abrasive, as this definitely has a tendency to disrupt my thought patterns. But a nice beat helps me maintain rhythm in the story. Currently 1 Giant Leap (self-titled), Tortoise - TNT and...

    How often do you read?

I read everyday for a couple of hours, more if I have time though I am laughed at by my housemate for always walking around the house with a book under my arm. More recently I have started writing again in a desperate attempt to actually finish a novel, and find that I am actually a little...

Your favourite bookshop / place to buy books

I find the local bookstores here in Hobart just too expensive; Ellison Hawker, Dymocks, Angus & Robertson. A shame as you want specialist bookstores to thrive, but if you read 2 or 3 books a week it can get pretty expensive. So I generally buy newer popular titles from Big W or K-Mart and...
