Still Not Sure What eReader to Get!

I still prefer a tablet to a dedicated ereader. The extra costs are far outweighed by the total utility and usefulness of a tablet vs. a dedicated reader like the Kindle. The Kindle Fire (I think that's what it's called) looks to be aiming to change this though!

    How E-Readers Can Save Reading

The greatest appeal to me for eReading is the sheer number of books you can carry at once and have it weigh nothing. There is no way I'd ever be able to carry the number and variety of books I like to have on hand with traditional books. It would require too many bags and consist of more weight...

    Will tablets overtake e-readers?

Can't say it enough, I love digital reading and think a tablet is far more versatile and useful as a reading device than a dedicated piece of hardware like a Kindle. Kindle's do a great job for what they are, and the eInk display is definitely a bit nicer for long term reading, but I've been...

    Spam clogging Amazon's Kindle self-publishing

This is a tough one for me. I'm married to a self-published author and we too have struggled with the problem of spam clogging the online bookstores like Kindle, Nook and Apple's iBook Store as well. The appeal of self-publishing is very attractive to author's of all levels of talent but...

Kindle, iPad, iPod Touch, or another?

For me, nothing beats having an iPad and an iPhone. My Kindle Books, Nook Books and iBook books all are available and properly bookmarked no matter which device I use to open them and read at any given time. I can sit back on the couch and read on my iPad (Kindle/Nook/iBook - doesn't matter...

    The Big Bang Theory

Zolipara - I LOVE your signature quote! I've read all of TG's work and that line is awesome. I bet it makes anyone who hasn't read the series scratch their head and wonder what the hell that could possibly mean.

How do you keep track of your to-reads?

I use a list app on my phone to keep track of all kinds of things. One of those lists just happens to be "Books to Read" :) It's easy and it's always with me. I don't know how I ever survived before smartphones. I must have lost track of hundreds of books I wanted to read before this wonderful...

Who is your favourite author, and why?

There was a time when I found this question difficult to answer, but after going on three decades of consistently impressing me with his work and after have read and re-read just about everything he's ever written multiple times, I have to say Stephen R. Donaldson is my all-time favorite author...

    Devils and Dreamers

New here and thought I'd share a really wonderful new book I read recently. It's called Devils and Dreamers and it's the first book of "The Pukking Grand Novels", a series of novels set in the fictional town of Pukking, Mississippi. The book is full of suspense, action and thrills. It's scary...
