Sleiman
Moving to Japan in 2001, I spent the following decade training in Japanese martial arts (budo) before returning to Australia.
I wrote of my experiences, publishing The Art of Life and Death (Tuttle, 2012) before going the self-publishing route with Shadow Inspiration (Kindle, 2015).
My writing is influenced by zuihitsu (flowing brush), a suggestive Japanese literary style as well as haibun, a Japanese poetic form combing prose and poetry.
