    How can you hate crime and punishment? and any of Dostoyovsky's work for that fact (although Brothers Karamazof can be irritating at times). what didnt you like about it? i have never read another novel with such amazing insight into the mind ...

    Most hated 'classic' novel you've actually read

    The Catcher in the Rye was horrible, and then a fair bit down the list War and Peace (but only cause its so long) Havent read any dickens or austen, and by the sounds of it, it might have been a wise move. I'll stick with my russians i think.

    you guys actually read all the books you have or u jsut collecting? i would have dedicate a lifetime to reading to be able to go through the collection you guys are talking about .... i can only go though about two centimeres of book a week :)

    Best Book You Have Ever Read

    the Outsider by Camus, i wont ruin it for you by telling you why I enjoyed it was such a great book for me. the Idiot by dostoyevski was my favourite book for a long time

    Milan Kundera: The Unbearable Lightness Of Being

    The book is not very difficult at all, and the notion of the lightness of being and the linearity of life really struck a cord with me .... having said that, i definately dont think it is a good book for rereading. particularly - specially as this would go ironicly against the subject matter...

    i guess i am too late to stop you reading this book ... it has to be up there with one of the most irritating books i have ever read. I think the book can be broken down into 3 parts (intervoven into each other) - depictions of russian "high society" - depiction of battle - philosophical...
