    The Interview With God

I don't believe in God so, the word 'Evil' is redundant. I just really hate the way Christianity encourages people to consider life as being inferior to the afterlife. Guess that's why Nietzsche calls Christians "Despisers of life"... "I beg of you my brothers, remain true to the earth, and...

    The Interview With God

I'm sorry Sweetsymphony, I should have typed, 'you are either...a, b or c' instead of simply 'you...are a, b, c'. I didn't mean to imply that you are a thoughtless, delirious, liar. As a matter of fact, I just don't believe you gave your answer much thought. Either that or, you don't...

    The Interview With God

I thought the 'Interview with God' was insincere and, totally crass. Nothing more than an contemporary method of disseminating the sort of dogmatic drivel that goes against my natural instincts. Suggestions for my Father

I agree with Harry. If he likes character driven stories, you could try 'Will You Please Be Quiet, Please' by Raymond Carver They're not mafia stories but, the characters are VERY realistic. Carver highlights their peculiarities & idiosyncrasies so that they leap off the page.

    Chris Ryan

Haven't read them but I saw the TV adaptation of Bravo Two Zero. Also saw a really cool program on how the SAS was created in WW2. The North Africa missions looked awesome. They piled into jeeps (each jeep had a 50.cal Machine Gun), drove across 100's of miles of desert to German airfields...

Who is your favourite author, and why?

I like Nietzsche. I like the way he justifies his arrogance. 'Thus Spoke Zarathustra' renders the Bible obsolete - It's the most encouraging book I ever read. I don't read much fiction but, I quite liked J.M. Coetzee.
