Thanks, I'll definitely take that into consideration next time I get a recommendation. It was more of an impulse buy anyway. I had heard good things, I saw it, and I picked it up while buying other books. I can never just stick to my list.
The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett. I hope I'm not being too presumptuous by thinking that most of us know what this book is about.
Well, for those who might be a little unaware (a.k.a. hiding under a rock for the last decade or two), here's a little blurb from the back of the...
I just bought:
Dreamcatcher by Stephen King
Salem's Lot by Stephen King
Angels and Demons by Dan Brown
Blackwood Farm by Anne Rice
It'll be awhile before I get to these, I have a few more to read beforehand.
Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. It was hard to get into at first, but it gets to be a little more interesting as you read on. I've attempted this book many times before and have finally decided to read the whole thing.
The Secret Life of Bees by Sue Monk Kidd. This is a story about a young girl who had lost her mother early in life, her life with an abusive father, and her search to find her mother's past. This book shows how a mother's love can withstand almost anything.
I liked this book, it's not one...
Blood and Gold by Anne Rice

Not a very exciting part, but you sort of have to know the series to know who the Mother and Father are... (Akasha and Enkil).
I keep the books I read, but they're all scattered on my bedroom floor, on my desk, on my dresser, etc. My parents are thinking about getting me some sort of bookshelf. I'm trying to come up with a makeshift one myself.
Hey, my name's Melissa. I'm 16 years old, and live in New York. I'm an avid book reader. I have no idea how I stumbled upon this site, but here I am. I'm a vegetarian, and love to read almost any type of book. I guess that's it! PM me if you wanna!
Don't worry, I won't kill you, but the director screwed up not just one book, but two. They screwed up how Lestat was made and forgot EVERYTHING about the red headed twins. It was terribly done. I don't know how Anne Rice could've allowed this tragedy to occur... :( .
Alright, just a...
I remember books pretty well if they were single pieces, but with a series (a.k.a. Harry Potter) it's harder for me to remember details from each book. To me, it's just one big book, so when people ask me if they remember what happened after such and such, I can't really tell them exactly...
I keep a list of books that I've read on bibliophil.org, which someone else posted earlier. I keep a list of books 'TBR' (To Be Read) on excel. I also keep a mini list of books I REALLY want in my purse, so if I happen upon a bookstore, I can try and find one from my list.
