    Favorite Manga of all time

Nana, by Ai Yazawa. By a MILE. I've been reading and re-reading this series for the past 9 years, and it's complex enough that not 2 readings are the same. It's seriously mind-blowing. Anything else by Ai Yazawa is also pretty good. Gokinjo Monogatari is a cute coming of age story.

New Translation Of Grimm's Fairytales Restores The Gore And Horror

I've been looking for this for ages! Thanks! I remember reading my first Grimm translation when I was 10. I was shocked and fascinated.

I've read Norwegian Wood and quite a few of his short stories, and, just thinking about them, I can't shake that ominously uncanny feeling. Shudder...

Anyone Else Enjoy Travel Memoirs and Culture Studies?

I do and I don't. I don't really enjoy modern travel literature, because it either a) puts preconceived notions into my head before I visit a place, or b) risks overriding whatever opinion I had of places I'd already travelled to. Either way I end up with someone else's opinions and impressions...

    Becca Fitzpatrick, Hush, Hush

It's pretty unremarkable. The kind of thing you'd enjoy on the beach if you had nothing else to read. Maybe a 6?
