Well, I don’t consider the “elbow bone” thing as a flaw, just stupid.
Bad writing, not being able to turn one bloody metaphor, a witnessing-narrator telling us what people “think” (that’s impossible, kids) among other things *is* error.

As for snakes’ eyes, well, I’m not going to cap on some dimwit typist who writes about creatures and wizards and other nonsense for not knowing some basic biology…

Ah, the Madness of Crowds. The non-point to words like “love”. The theory that if that same world-wide crowd states 2 + 2 = 5, then it will then indeed be 5…

I read that book a long time ago. I'd forgotten about it, but now I remember reading it, and I enjoyed it, too.

I wonder whatever happened to Ira Levin... maybe I'll just go google him and get back to you.

He doesn't seem to have written all that many books.

Still, most of those books mutated into that fat (or phat) Hollyweird money.
The high life staves off creativity for many.

A Kiss Before Dying sounds as if it may have been written about Scott Peterson -- found innocent. And just look at the actors in that movie! Whoa!

Now I remember reading This Perfect Day, too.

I think I like Ira Levin, and so does Stephen King!

(But does that make him a "great" writer?)

currently reading laurence bergreen, over the edge of the world and stephen ambrose, undaunted courage.

bergreen is a good writer,however, over the edge of the world reads a little like "pop" history. sorta like reading about the first circumnavigation of the world in the national inquierer (sp).

ambrose is simply,great.
 
I'm reading 3 at the present time. A co-worker talked me in to reading my first Clive Cussler book, The Treasure.
I'm keeping it at work for breaks.

Finally getting around to reading Jonathan strange and Mr Norrel Some others have said the first part is boring, but I am loving it! Looking forward to reading the rest.
