How often do you buy books?

I try and restrict my online buying to once in about every 6 to 8 weeks, but bookshop buying has no limits for me, if I go in a bookshop, which I do about every 10 days or so, I have to buy something. Its as if this 'shopping coma' just comes over me, I leave the shop and omg whats this in my bag and how much did I spend???
I've always justified spending money on books to myself as.. er.. ''educational'', my husband isn't quite so easy to persuade, although its an easier thing to justify than another lipstick or another pair of shoes....to which I, being a shallow girly girl, am equally addicted.

For me, the question "is how often *don't* I buy books?" My addiction is getting out of control!!!!!!!!!

I'm not buying as many books as I used to...I have three huge shopping bag full of books from my grandma (she was just going to throw them out, so I thought I'd take em!). But if I go in a book store I can't come out empty handed, so I try and avoid them as much as I can because I'll buy like 5 at a time, and I have more books right now than I have time to read. But to answer the question...before I was buying books about every two weeks (since the bookstore I go to is not in my town, but is 30 minutes away). But next month when I move into my apartment, I'll have Barne's and Noble right there about a 10 minute drive from me and I'll probably spend too much time in there buying too many books.

Once every two months (I think) I'll pick up between 4 and 6 new books. I'll buy another 2 to 4 every four months or so online. And maybe once a year I'll go crazy and buy up roughly 10 used books at once.

I used to buy books every couple of weeks but I've cut back significantly. If it wasn't for bargain books I'd probably go broke.

We were up to two or three bookstore browsings per day, but we had to stop cold for budget reasons about two months ago. Now we're starting back in. Three times this past week.

As often as possible! I read too much so I need new books constantly! I bought two books on Saturday at the used book shop but am almost finished them so I must purchase again!

Are there meetings for this?

Usually, we hit second hand stores and goodwill. I average about six books per visit. We also make a giant order from Amazon every fall. She buys boks more along the lines of her profession, I get ones that usually take me a heck of a long time to read given the busy part of the year for me.

I buy books about once every month. Being a student, I tend to borrow books from the library and then go out and buy the books that I really enjoyed. Or books that are never in the library

I am constantly buying books. I'm not really a library person, so anything I want to read I buy or borrow from friends. I probably buy books at least twice a month.

I buy books as often as I need to to keep a good selection in my pile of books to read. That's about two books every 10 - 12 days.

all the time. I can't help myself. when browsing through certain bookstores online and irl, I can't stop myself from buying a few books. I can't walk by a bookstore without going inside and once I'm inside I can't leave the place without buying a few books.

One of the reasons I I like reading is that it can be cheap entertainment. That said I buy a handful a month. Usually used. When anyone asks me what I'd like as a gift, Christmas & birthday, I ask for books or gift certificates to book stores to help keep my purchasing to a minimum. If new books were reasonably priced than I would buy far more often.

I buy books rarely to never. I bought two books from Amazon a couple months ago, and the day before yesterday I bought four in a day, but two I found for 4-5 bucks at an outlet, and two were free because I had 45 bucks in gift certs that I won at work. That will most likely be it until Christmas. We're way to broke to buy books right now.

Every month, I usually pre-order books from amazan/B&N etc, the numeb rdiffer greatly sometiems as low 6 as many as 25-30. Besides that I contine to contact antiquariums for really early prints of older books that I collect, and I generally get 4-12 books a week via publisher or author.

I can't seem to stop buying books  I have a huge pile of books to be read which then splits off into sub piles. I so love reading though and I sell them on sometimes or lend them out, give them away etc so my addiction brings pleasure to many people ;)
