Must Love Dogs

I haven't seen it, but it looks like a typical chick lit plot. I'll wait until it's a rental.

OK, OK. I admit. I went to see this movie. I went with a girlfriend who's down about her man problems. I wanted to see something less stupid and then realized there is nothing less stupid out.

I'm going to give this a B- in the "Chick Flick Rating Scale". I'm not feeling mean enough to rate it against regular movies. I spent the first 75 minutes of this movie wondering 1) Why are Diane Lane & John Cusack's characters SO annoying? 2) Why is Dermot Mulroney being treated like he's good looking? & 3) Do John Cusack's eyes and cheeks look so freaky because he's had too much botox or is that natural for him? The worst part was when I was so incredibly annoyed by the stupidity of the condom hunt that I wanted to stand up and leave. Ultimately, the best part of this movie was Mother Theresa, a newfoundland played by two really cute puppies.

I suggest going with sirmyk's idea and waiting until they show it on The Family Channel.

Actually... I went with my father. He and my mother got divorced after thirty years of marriage and they are both back in the dating scene. He cried at the end... but that could also be because he's 60 and sentimental. Heh. I liked it pretty good myself, but Diane Lane is just so beautiful and classic, I spent the whole movie trying to figure out how I could recreate her classic beauty on myself.
Cheers
E.

I liked Must Love Dogs. It was cute film, nothing profound, just your everyday Hollywood fluff that's serves as a good break between the really, really good films.
