Maybe I've missed something, as said before, I've not been here long but I've never seen Wabbit or any other mods behave badly. I think Wabbit had to step in and explain some of the rules and the mods actions for the breaking of the rules and now he is being subjected to the upset and turmoil of the group. I don't think that it would have been any different had we had a different group of mods. There has been upset lately and many are edgy, it was bound to create some bad feelings all around and unfortunately some warnings and a ban was handed out. Did none of us see it coming? When we complained about the insults, the namecalling and everything else did we do it just to whine or because we really wanted some change? It seemed that many wanted to get back to books but here we still are, now we've turned from harping on the members to harping on the mods.
I'm not harping on the mods. I do appreciate it's not a thankful job and aside from a few posts, I have nothing against any of them. I would just like to see some things change, that's all.Ronny said:

i have to say that i think we, as a collective group, are merely looking now to point fingers instead at members, but at mods as to what the problem is. what is the real issue here? is it because a few of us got bent because of insults that some didn't agree with what books we were reading, is it spammers (myself included in that group) or are we mad at the mods for not handling certain situations when they arose?
i think wabbit, being the only mod i've seen take any stand on all of this, is taking the heat. it's not fair. martin is also taking heat because he started this whole grandiose debate. and now bobbybrns has been banned....maybe to make a point, maybe not..who knows?
but i think we need to look at what we are really pissed about. everyone is making really great points and airing their issues of what's wrong, or better yet, what should change about the forum.
i guess in all of this, is it ego or is there a real issue here?

Actually, I had thought many days ago to vote for Lies as a moderator.
*popcorns at a conference seemed to be a bit weired, honestly speaking.

I cannot have a clear definition or conception of FAIR/BEING FAIR in this case or at any forum, so I didn't choose anyone.

Moderation = to make less extreme or intense.
Since the moderators here are aiming to make this forum less extreme, and less intense, I would say "Yes, the moderators are doing well." Wabbit's position on this forum was changed from Moderator to Senior Moderator for a reason; he just happens to be getting all the bitch-slaps since he is the only one chiming in on the subject. I do hope the Moderator list grows.
There does, however, seem to be a lot of finger-pointing going on here; just about everyone in this arguement seems to want the "last word" or "zing" and it's getting old. The constant bantering and bickering will continue this thread forever.

Inconsistency, inkoncistancy, innconnsisstency...
I made a simple reference to the holy grail in the realityland revisited thread and Wabbit edits it on the basis of it being a religious reference.
At the same time, there is a whole thread devoted to the bible, filled with quotes and opinions on its content, ethos and lies/truth/lies.
It's ridiculous.
I voted 'Yes, they make me very happy and give my tummy a warm feeling'. Good stuff.
