Word Game Forum

As I continue my nefarious plans of forum domination ( ) I would like to suggest a new section in the Misc category for book/word games. In the General Book discussion forum we have the recently revived author association game which doesn't really meet the criteria of discussion and in the showcase we have the frustratingly spammy four word story (has anyone actually read the full story?*) which is just a piece of fun rather than a showcase of any sorts.




* You mean it's supposed to be a story and not a way to post crap?

I'll second that. Stewart's right, some of those threads do not include the discussion of books...

Or move them to general chat? I think they really belong there. Also, if there's too many forums here, it gets confusing. Simplicity is great.

Oooooooo - I like that idea. I love word games & think it's an excellent idea having some space put to one side for them & similar such things here. Good suggestion Stewart

Just seeing the words 'crossing swords' in simultaneous occurrence was nearly enough to set me off, but I'm trying to practice restraint. I think I can sense a major slapping-down coming my way if I do not. Well (oh, hell), regardless of that, I do need to say this: Some of my best friends are "intellectuals" (referring back to the Posts:Suggestons thread, and they all adore banter, laughter and wordplay.

Ah, but my 'crossing swords' is benign. Like 'pass the salt, please' and 'wanna swap stamps'? I must admit I have threatened to sing in the forum on occasion.

Is this a one off or are you planning a running gag based on the theme? I hope not, I'm not sure I could take the hilarity.
