Name That Tune

Ok. This is a long-time fave band of mine. Given the time of year, I thought the sentiment is quite apt:

This song was released as a single December 1990. The music is upbeat in contrast to the lyrics. It is about a young man at his father’s deathbed; instead of Catholic last rites, he wants to bury his old man at sea. The river is a symbol of continuity.
