Just discovered The Forum and learned a lot already. Appreciate this nicely setup discussion system AND the comments! It was here I learned about sharking outfits sniffing for meat in eyes-glazed wannabe novelists like myself. Just getting started but glad to be here! Thanks, mates!

Hi Ruby, I was amazed at how quickly your reply got to me. I'm still floundering around getting used to the system. Thanks for your response. I grew up in England and had relatives in Liverpool, but left England as a child. It seems this forum is world-wide, no? You must really like it with so many entries. Good luck and thanks again!
 
Hello petron and a great big welcome. Excuse my ignorance but I don't exactly know where you are (geography is not my strong point) You may not know where we are either!:) :)

Hi Poppy1. Mendocino County is north of San Francisco about 150 miles, 200 more to get up to Oregon border. I have some nice coast shots if you'd like to see one or two. Now I have fantasies of New Zealand, that it's a beautiful place. Where I am certainly is! Terrific coastline.

Now I really should have known where you are ( I actually thought it might be somewhere in Spain) My sister-in-law comes from Oregon and her extended family often come over here to visit. I would love to see your photos. I have seen photos of the coast over by Bay City and it was very beautiful - a bit like the West Coast of NZ.
