Sci-Fi short story

I read a story when I was younger that involved two astronauts falling through space (maybe after their ship exploded?) and communicating through their helmet radios. They slowly drift apart and lose communication until they eventually burn up in the atmosphere. The story closes with a boy on earth looking up into the night sky and saying "look mommy, a shooting star" and his mom tells him to make a wish. Anyone have any ideas?

With a Google search I turned up something that sounded similar, but I'm not sure since I can't find much. It might be Kaleidoscope by Ray Bradbury. I found a random comment on a website which said:

but also of this ray bradbury story about a bunch of astronauts drifting in space...one gets shot, one gets his helmet smashed by another, and another ends up in the atmosphere as a shooting star.

Sound like it?

Thanks! I had done several google searches but apparently didn't find the magic combination of words. That definitely sounds like the one.
I should have guessed that it was Bradbury.
