Looking for a new series/author

Hey everyone!

Well I'm almost done with reading a large series of books. I really loved the jist of their plots and I was wondering if anyone had any SERIES of books in mind. I'm currently reading Iris Johansen and I would like to find another author that writes similar plots as hers.

The plots include murders, trying to capture and/or find the killer. Told in the POV by the main character which is a woman. The woman is forced to trust someone new or team up with someone new to find the killer. That person is usually a man and they grow closer together and eventually develop an intimate relationship.

So basically a Murder mystery/thriller with some romance. Can anyone help me out?? Thanks!

Have you read the series by Julia Spencer-Fleming? It begins with In the Bleak Midwinter, which is about an Episcopal priest (and tough ex-Army chopper pilot) named Clare Fergusson, newly arrived at St. Alban's. A newborn infant is left at the church, which brings her together with the town's police chief. Unfortunately he's married, so they fight their growing attraction. I really enjoy this well-written series.

Tami Hoag also writes some good romantic suspense, but I don't believe she writes series.

Never heard of those authors. Thanks for the help. I'm def. going to look into that series by Julia Spencer-Fleming!! It sounds great :D

I'd suggest you try Kay Hooper. Her books are about a special FBI unit of psychic agents.

I love Iris Johanssen's books too.

Some others you might like to try are Alex Kava, Tess Gerritsen and Karen Rose.

hi,
From your description of the last series you read, I think you might like one that I enjoyed: "Body count" - PD Martin.
The main character is a woman, and it does involve murder/mystery, and she does develop a intimate relationship with a male...

This is the debut novel by PD Martin, but I've emailed her and she assures me that there are definately some more in a series to come.

Check it out
Cheers

If you like American Forensic-type stuff, have you tried Tess Gerritsen's "Jane Rizzoli / Maura Isles" series? Or Alex Kava's "Maggie O'Dell" series (criminal profiler)? Or Janet Evanovich's "Stephanie Plum" series (bounty hunter)?

I like my thrillers to have strong female leads and these are some of my current favourites.

Edit - should really read other posts more closely first!
