Mine's free

Mine's not !! Since I'm in a developing country that is controlled by political mafia I pay 40$ a month for a shitty internet connection. Some ports are closed and at many occasions the internet connection decide to take a break !!!

$10.00 a month. I live in a small community and have DSL service through a provider in a nearby town. Those of us in rural areas really don't have a lot of choice and the companies that are around profit only through having an accidental monopoly.

At least you have a half decent excuse :(

When the state telecom company was privatised the government as part of the deal gave them full reign over the existing phone lines and has stopped anyone else from putting new ones down. I live in an area not deemed important enough to have broadband turned on which is ever so annoying. We have a package for 35 euro and 140 hours (it disgusts me even having it, if it was my personal account I’d have nothing! when the time comes I’ll fertilise the ground with the blood of every eircom ceo and government politician involved) eh!

About 20$ for an ADSL connection. No time or bandwidth limits.

Overall, I'm happy. When I first made an ADSL connection it cost something like 70$.

Around £20 a month for an unlimited 2mb connection. So around 250kbs which is then distributed to three computers via a router.

I pay £23 ( aprox $15 ) for unlimited 1 meg ADSL connection. There are a couple of companies offering free broadband here, but I don't trust them. I just don't believe i'll get as good a service with them as I do with the ISP that I'm with. It has the best customer serivce of any company I have ever delt with, no down time, and always fast even in prime time hours. I'm sure that the free ones have a crappy contention ratio, poor customer service and so on. Nothing is free, you gotta pay some how even if it's not in the financial sense.

Eh? £23 is more like $42 - I would be more than happy to cash in some of my Dollars if I got as good an exchange rate as you just quoted :p

We pay £30 per month for our connection. Our line isn't the greatest so we can only have 512Kb (even though we pay for a 2Mb line).
